INGE qualified as a dietician from the University of Stellenbosch. After she completed her community service year, she joined Livewell Dieticians, a thriving practice in Nelspruit where she gained extensive experience in critical care as well as diabetes management. When she returned to Cape Town, Inge worked at Mowbray Maternity Hospital before she started her private practice.

“Nutrition is ever evolving, and it is our role as dieticians to ensure that our patients are not misinterpreting important health messages.” Inge invests time to ensure that she runs an evidence-based practice.

My special fields of interest include:

I am a passionate dietician with a love for my family, friends and life. I absolutely thrive when I am in nature exercising or spending time with my loved ones. I enjoy spoiling my family with interesting recipes based on clean eating principles.

What do you love the most about your job as a dietician?I love being a part of a patients journey towards holistic health. Guiding them through the process from a dietary point of view and observing how they utilize their knowledge and skills to manage their own well-being is incredibly rewarding. I have a passion to positively influence each patient that I have the privilege to assist in their journey to a higher level of health.

Making health a priority doesn’t only change the way an individual look or feels; it assists in changing their entire outlook on life. It gives me immense joy to observe patients achieving their health goals. Rome wasn’t built in a day; a healthy lifestyle and nurturing relationship with food requires commitment and determination. It’s almost like running a marathon, every step of the way is critical in achieving the desired result, it is important to cultivate a positive mindset from the 1st kilometer right up to the end. Whether there are downhills or uphill’s, face them and conquer them, because in the end it is worth all the hard yards.

What is your favourite treat food?Any sort of ice cream! if I lived in Italy, Gelato would certainly have another faithful supporter.
